These tasty, healthy, oil-free chickpeas are super easy to make (takes less than 5 minutes) and satisfy that desire for a salty, crispy, and slightly spicy snack. For less spiciness ratchet back the red hot sauce. If you can't find truffle salt, regular salt will do just fine or you can leave the salt out altogether since the Frank's red hot sauce has salt in it also. Put them out when you have friends over and watch them disappear in no time!
Best Vegan Chickpea Snack
Makes 1 1/2 cups
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
1 to 2 tablespoons Frank's Red Hot Sauce
1/4 teaspoon truffle salt (see notes above)
Combine the chickpeas with all other ingredients in a bowl. Spread out on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake 35 minutes. Cool and loosen with a spatula to remove. Enjoy and Happy Plant-Based Eating!
